By David Greenhouse;

Jose Fuentes started his journey  as an instructor In Mexico city  at the young  age of 10!.
Teaching kids Northern Style kung-Fu in which he already had a black belt by then!..He recalls:
"I
discovered  my  passion for teaching fitness at a very young age".
Until this date I have never forgotten
the faces of those boys and girls when I taught them something new!
His personal training career took off at the age of 16 at a local gym in Veracruz, Mexico.  He recalls, “I
remember how excited I was when I received my first paycheck.  During the years that I worked at several
small health clubs, I instructed their members on how to use the equipment.  As my career progressed, I
eventually moved on to the larger health clubs/gyms.  As an incentive, I conducted various contests for
their members.  One of the contests consisted of monitoring and measuring the members’ progress
during specific exercise routines (bench press, squats with barbells, push- ups, etc.).  The ultimate prize
was a free monthly membership.  This prize was quite impressive since most people in Mexico could not
afford a personal trainer.  As a personal trainer, I found it most gratifying to see my clients do so well”.

Among Jose’s numerous abilities and expertise is his ability to target muscle groups.  He uses all the
modern techniques for maximum muscle fiber recruitment.   By listening carefully to his clients, he
applies the techniques that best matches their needs and achieves their goals.  He teaches isokinetics,
strength training, isotonics, hypertrophy stimulation, isometrics and plyometric techniques.  He is quite
knowledgeable and does body fat analysis, stretching and manipulating agonistic and antagonistic
muscles.

Among his many credentials, Jose recently earned his Master Certification from The International
Federation of Personal Trainers Association. Jose continues to expand his knowledge and enhance his
skills in advance sports nutrition weight management and alternative herbal medicine.
As an athlete and competitor, Jose has been a national competitor in body building.  He competed in the
prestigious Natural Eastern Classic Body Building Contest and the Natural Forever Amateur Body Building
Association Event.  He was also The Natural Grand Spoken Person for the Experimental and Applied
Sciences Supplements Company.  He has also competed in basketball, long-distance running and martial
arts in which he holds a black belt in Aiki-jujitsu and northern style Kung-fu.
In his leisure time, Jose enjoys reading a wide spectrum of topics.  Among his favorite topics are history,
health and nutrition.  He is also a health and nutrition writer on the internet, health newsletters and
several national magazines such as “Men’s Exercise” and “Best Body”.

He is the founder and creator of “Extreme Demolition"  speed and power development pcompamy cater
for athletes at all levels. He is also the founder of the  3rd Dimension Fitness Program” And of course
Shapes R In Fitness LLC., The 3rd Dimension Fitness is a program that targets all three body types in all
the three planes of motion and consists of working out in three body segments.  This program will consist

politicians, athletes and celebrities.   He also hopes to start his own foundation where he can give back
by reaching out to those in need in Latin America.
As for his athletic ambition, Jose is tasting for black belt 2nd Dan in Aiki-Jujitsu (A self-defense martial  art
technique) at the end of 2009. He also hopes to do the “Iron Man Triathlon” in the future.  On a personal

HERE’S WHAT SOME OF HIS CLIENTS HAVE TO SAY…

“Working out at a local gym, I have been doing a lot of cardio.  But I really had no direction and wasn’t
improving my endurance.  My goal was to avoid surgery by losing weight, toning up and slimming muscle
mass.  Now my goals include my overall health and feeling good about myself.  Jose shows and teaches
self-worth.  I can’t motivate myself the way I can with him.  I’m in my prime.  Now I can do 200 crunches
with my legs in the air and a 10-pound weight.  My own brother says, “Hey your legs are cut now!”  It’s the
best money you will ever spend on yourself:  one-on-one time with your body …with the best return on my
investment”…Terri Sylva, Auto Damage Insurance Manager

“My son has a good chance of playing Division 1 Hockey, New Jersey Elite.  He has to get bigger.
Compared to other trainers, Jose is more knowledgeable with more to offer.  He brings a lot to the table.
He puts more into it.  He cares and has concern, empathy and compassion.  He asks a lot of questions and
answered my questions.  Jose is working on my son’s nutrition and is developing his lower midriff.  He’s
filled out his arms and shoulders, and gained flexibility.  I look at the results—and I see them”
…Al Zak, Sales Manager

“My Dad signed me up for skating when I was six.  I play right wing.  I want to make a Junior A Team.  I’ m
surprised at how hard you have to work.  I need speed, strength and balance.  I’m getting stronger.  Kids
aren’t knocking me over—I’m knocking them over.  I’m not afraid to go in the corners.  I’m surprised this
happened so fast.  Teammates notice that I’m bigger and quicker on the ice.  Better balance through
squats to stay on my feet.  I’ve gotten stamina from the treadmill, balance by working on my
abs”…Dennis Zak,  aspiring hockey player

Jose asked, “Why are you here?”  He wanted to hear what our goals are.  He does things gradually,
knows our limitations and capabilities.  He’ll ask, “How do you feel?  Does the weight feel alright?”  The
workouts are not strenuous, but not that easy.  I hadn’t worked out with weights since college.  My
flexibility has improved a lot.  If we had tried to do this on our own, we would have done it wrong, with a
lot of bad habits.  He is competent, accommodating and knowledgeable.  Jose always keeps advancing
himself with certifications.”…Susan & Jim Gaynor, retired

“At first, I was skeptical of a trainer.  Regular weight-training tightens me up.  With my scar tissue,
fibromyalgia and a herniated disk, I was a challenge to him.  He had to do a lot of homework.  I was
amazed.  In  a few months, my range of motion started to become normal.  Some people don’t know how
painful my problem was.  He knows when to push you.  He didn’t make me feel afraid.  He assured me,
explained how to undo the damage I had done.  He’s much better than my physical therapist.  He
corrected the imbalances in my body.”…Dino Margiotta, Sales
